Chair AFFAIR in front of Talk-n-Coffee - THE street from the clocktower to the

alley will be closed off

    Colville WA –The CHAIR AFFAIR AUCTION will be held in front of TALK-N-Coffee, located at  119 East Astor on FRIDAY MAY 9TH from 6 pm – 9 pm. The street will be closed OFF FROM 5 pm – 10 pm in front of the coffee shop from the corner of Main & Astor (The Clock Tower) to the alley.   The local artists who created the chairs are: Dezana Rossman's "Hot Seat" chair, Tracey Delyea’s “Bloom-in-Time” chair, Gloria de los Santos’ “Amoeba” chair, Ursula Atkinson’s "Sunshine" chair, Maggie deLaunay’s “Peace” chair, John Sanna’s "Musical" chair, Sandy Bakkan’s “Vine” Chair, AND Tina Matney’s “Apple” Chair. Chris Schott has also created a chair.

    There will be artists' demonstrations and other fun art-filled demonstrations. There is NO CHARGE for this event. Please join us for this special all ages event.

    Our co-coordinator is Greenwood Institute d’Art, and there will be mad hatter’s musical chairs, and wonderful hand-painted vintage coffee shop chairs will be auctioned off. The chairs have been featured on Spokane's Channel 6 KHQ. Scott Sanders, proprietor of Talk-n-Coffee will be serving coffee and will act as master of ceremonies that evening.

    The event will also hold a silent auction with wine baskets, artwork, and other quality items up for auction. This silent auction will benefit Colville resident Erne Kegel to help with his medical expenses. If you would like to donate artwork, a gift basket, or other quality service or goods to benefit Erne Kegel, please call Lori at 675-5124.

    Current sponsors are: Colville Sign, Colville Arts Foundation, Greenwood Institute d'Art, who will be sponsoring "musical chairs" a fun game for all  ages.

The OIV consortium has expanded its scope to include a diverse group of artists/mentors and teaching artists. The teaching artists are regional and local. For more information about becoming a teaching artist, call the OIV Arts Coordinator, Gloria J. Geary at 509-684-6873.
